Rebecca K. Hockenberry

Ms. Hockenberry is a native of Mansfield, Ohio, focusing her practice on bankruptcy, foreclosure defense,consumer protection, wills, estate planning, and estate administration serving all of central Ohio. Ms. Hockenberry has a breadth of experience handling administrative, regulatory and civil matters.

Hockenberry Law Office, LLC was established in 2009 in Mansfield, Ohio. Prior to re-establishing her solo practice in the Ashland/Mansfield area, Ms. Hockenberry was a partner with Adams, Liming & Hockenberry, LLC working in bankruptcy, consumer protection and employment law. Ms. Hockenberry worked as a bankruptcy attorney with Luftman, Heck & Associates, LLP assisting consumers in obtaining a fresh start through Chapter 7 bankruptcy or debt repayment under a Chapter 13 bankruptcy.

Formerly, Ms. Hockenberry served as the Assistant Director of the Ohio State Dental Board, overseeing the Board’s regulatory and enforcement activities. Ms. Hockenberry conducted and supervised investigations of complaints regarding the practice of dentistry, dental hygiene and dental assistant radiography received from the general public and others. Ms. Hockenberry also served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in the Health and Human Services Section. She primarily served as legal counsel for the Ohio State Dental Board, the Ohio Department of Health, and the Ohio Department of Aging; all agencies focused on the protection of Ohio’s residents. While attending law school in the evening, Ms. Hockenberry worked full-time as a Paralegal with the prestigious law firm Baker & Hostetler, LLP. Her practice focused on workers’ compensation, labor law, and employment law. Her well-rounded legal experience and versatility lends itself well to representing clients in all legal venues.
